Dr. Kelly Turkington

Dr. Kelly Turkington is a research scientist with Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada in Lacombe, Alta. His areas of research include: the improvement and management of resistance to scald, net blotch, smuts, and root rots in barley breeding lines and varieties; investigation of the impact of cropping systems on cereal and oilseed diseases, and crop health, competitiveness, productivity and quality; disease control using integrated pest management and integrated crop management; barley research conducted as part of the Alberta/Canada Barley Development Agreement joint project between Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada and Alberta Agriculture and Food.
