Dr. Mary Burrows received a degree in biology from Minnesota State University Moorhead in 1997, and a PhD in plant pathology from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 2003. She is responsible for applied research to address plant disease problems faced by the growers of Montana. Her primary responsibility is educating growers, extension agents, crop advisors and industry personnel about plant disease management in Montana. She serves as a communication link between the university and the agricultural community. She supervise the Schutter Plant Disease Diagnostic Laboratory, the Regional Pulse Crop Diagnostic Laboratory, the MSU Urban IPM Program, and represent Montana in the IR-4 Project for registration of pesticides on minor crops.
